Guppies are a great fish for a community and peaceful, small or large, freshwater aquarium. Guppies are livebearers and are very popular for the fact that breeding is very easily accomplished in a home aquaria. Males and females are easily identifiable from their bottom (anal) fin.

When keeping males and females together, it is recommended to keep at least 2-3 females per male to prevent the males becoming to harassing to any individual female.
