The Red Firefish is a peaceful saltwater / marine fish. Red Firefish are an excellent addition to small and nano aquariums. They tend to be very shy and can be easily spooked if kept with aggressive fish or fast swimming fish. While commonly referred to as a firefish goby, the firefish is actually in the family of dartfish.

Some people are successful in keeping firefish in groups while others find that they will always whittle down to the most aggressive one or two.
